Instructor Bios
Phil Mistry
Phil Mistry holds two Masters in Photography, an MA and MFA (Master of Fine Arts) from SUNY (State University of New York) at New Paltz. He started one of the first digital camera classes in NYC in the middle 90's at New York's prestigious ICP (International Center of Photography) where he was an adjunct faculty and also taught Photoshop.
The New York Press Photographers Associate as well as the Metro Chapter of the National Press Photographers Association have invited Phil to conduct workshops for their members. Lecturing on digital photography has taken him to various places from the Arizona Newspaper Association to LaGuardia College in NYC. He has freelanced for the New York Post and worked in the photo dept. of The Star Ledger in New Jersey. His specialty is Photojournalism and Electronic imaging.
Phil helped set up the Digital Photography showroom at B&H Photo-Video, where he trained sales staff and buyers on digital photography. He has been interviewed on CNN and CNBC on the growing popularity of digital cameras. During Operation Desert Storm he found himself in Saudi Arabia running a photo company for a year. Phil has been managing and teaching Popular Photography's Digital Days workshops since they started in 2003. He currently lives in Birmingham, Alabama where he is trying to finish one more Masters, this time in Art History. His wife wants to know, why?

Leslie Fisher
Leslie Fisher is a internationally acclaimed presenter specializing in digital photography, editing, and workflow. Leslie's career began at Apple Computer where she was an engineer during the Internet and digital photography boom. Leslie started up her own company in 1997 to focus on presenting and training about emerging technologies. She is hired by Adobe to demonstrate and train on their digital editing product line at many conferences. Her relationship with Adobe lead her to some of the top photographers and companies in digital where she has photographed and edited reality television, sporting events, award shows and more. She also works with many Fortune 500 companies teaching their employees how to capture, edit, store and share their work more effectively.

Mark Reis
Mark Reis is a graduate of Iowa State University and has been working as a photojournalist for 30 years. He is passionate about photojournalism and loves to tell peoples’ stories through his photographs. Mark has been Deputy Photo Director at the Gazette in Colorado Springs since 1986. He has covered seven Olympic Games and five Superbowls and won the Olympic Media Association Gold prize for his coverage of the Nagano Games. His career has given him a ringside seat to everything from local news and features to the 2004 Asian tsunami. In 2009 he was the National Press Photographers Association (NPPA) Regional Photographer of the Year. Mark lives in Colorado Springs with his wife, Wendy and two daughters.
